The Marmalade Schools are a small Group of Ofsted Outstanding Nurseries in South West London and Kensington. The Principal, Miss Rozzy, trained as a primary teacher at Exeter University, has a degree in Special Needs and has also been awarded the Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). Miss Rozzy started teaching in 1989 and has taught in the maintained sector and at Finton House in Wandsworth. She started working in the early years sector in 1997 after the birth of her first two children. The Marmalade Cat was founded in 2003 for Miss Rozzy's third child, Orlando. In 2008, Miss Rozzy took over the Marmalade Caterpillar, the Marmalade Bear in 2011 and the Marmalade Owl in 2016. All 4 schools are rated Outstanding by Ofsted. The newest school is the Marmalade Duck in Kensington.
Miss Rozzy is chair of Wandsworth Independent Nursery Association (WINA) and is on the Early Years Partnership at Wandsworth Borough Council. She is also a member of the Schools Forum in Wandsworth. Miss Rozzy has lived in London since 1990 and has built up excellent links with local schools in South West and West London. Miss Rozzy is passionate about early years and aims to support parents fully through the start of their children's education. Marmalade Schools are inclusive of all families, traditional and non-traditional. We support families who have English as a second language and those who have disabilities.
Children are taught by qualified and experienced staff and are taken between the ages of 2 to 5 years. The Marmalade Schools are nursery schools with two separate daily sessions. The Lunch Bunch session is for the rising fours. Children are divided into their academic year groups. The rising threes are called Caterpillars, Cubs, Owlets, Ducklings and Kittens, and the rising fours are called the Butterflies, Bears, Owls, Ducks and Cats.
Morning: 845 to 1200
Afternoons: 1245 to 1600
Lunch Bunch: 1200 to 1515 (extended morning session for older children)
